The Origin of the Gallery
“The concept of ZuCot Gallery arose from my desire to share my love of international art with the Atlanta Market,” says the founder and owner of ZuCot Gallery. "For the past fifteen years I have traveled extensively, building a personal art collection comprised of pieces from Europe, Asia, South America and the U.S. In opening ZuCot Gallery I envisioned a space in which the best contemporary art from throughout the world would be presented to the Atlanta market. From there it seemed only natural to select a space in the creative, eclectic Castleberry Hill neighborhood of Atlanta."

“ZuCot” was the nickname of the gallery founder’s great-grandmother. On the Caribbean island of St. Kitt’s she was widely known as a strong businesswoman with a fierce personality. She was a unique individual that made a lasting impression, just like ZuCot Gallery.

The Collection
ZuCot Gallery features a collection of contemporary paintings, sculpture and works on paper with a curatorial emphasis on cultural and social significance, international scope and innovative techniques. The gallery specializes in original work that incorporates traditional figurative subjects like dancers, nudes, and urban landscape presented in contemporary, creative ways.

Troy Taylor

As his career in cooperate America grew so did his passion for collecting Art. His current work in the Healtcare Industry takes him to Europe, Asia, South Africa, Japan, Latin America, India and the Middle East on a regular basis. Most of the gallery’s collection, with the addition of multicultural American art and pieces by local Atlanta artists, stems from the relationships that he has developed with artists and galleries throughout the world.

The striking, high-tech design and amenities of the gallery combine Troy’s dual interests in art and engineering. He believes that art and science are similar in that, “Like science, art is not random. There is an order to each discipline, rules of composition and technique that create a beautiful, balanced product.”
